The buyer should compare the controlled surface and evidence boundary, not a slogan or a single unit price. Choose when the same finish and delivery state are priced, methods and evidence are visible, and changes have a defined path. Hold when “as machined” is undefined or inspection is omitted. The next buyer action is to approve the common surface definition and comparison sheet.
