Can Neway Help with Material Certification and Traceability?

Confirm Neway's Project-Specific Scope Before Material Purchase

This page cannot verify that Neway can supply every requested material certificate or traceability level. The capability must be confirmed in the current quotation against the exact grade, product form, source, document type, lot-control method, special processes, and record-retention requirement. Requirements may include EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 material certificates, which use different document-validation arrangements; 3.2 is not simply a more detailed 3.1. Before purchase, ask for a written responsibility matrix and a redacted example of each required deliverable where confidentiality permits. Keep the order on hold if the proposed workflow cannot preserve identity from incoming stock to shipped parts.

For titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and superalloys, specify the governing material standard, grade, condition, product form, manufacturer or approved source if required, heat or lot identifier, and inspection document. Define the applicable document, validating parties, language, format, and whether a copy, digitally signed record, or original is acceptable. Positive Material Identification can provide elemental evidence within the capability and limits of the selected method. It cannot by itself establish full material-specification compliance, heat or lot origin, mechanical properties, heat-treatment condition, or product form. State whether control is by heat, lot, blank, batch, or serialized piece and how remnants may be released for reuse.

Certification, Inspection, and Traceability Evidence to Verify

Separate quality-system qualification from order records. If the project references ISO 9001:2015, NADCAP, AS9100, RoHS, or a customer specification, request the current certificate, scope, site, issuer, validity, or declaration evidence that actually applies; do not infer any of them from this page. An order for medical devices may require approved material, lot segregation, cleaning evidence, surface results, and product-specific regulatory records. An order for aerospace turbine components may require material and heat-treatment evidence, hardness or dimensional results, and buyer approval gates. List each deliverable, owner, source record, review point, acceptance authority, and response to a missing or conflicting record. For an AS9102 first-article requirement, state the applicable revision, required forms and supporting records, characteristic coverage, and customer flowdown. Confirm sampling or third-party requirements as separate quoted deliverables.

Connect Material Identity to Every Manufacturing Handoff

A traceability plan should show how identity survives stock receipt, cutting, work in process, outside processing, final inspection, packaging, and nonconformance. If the quoted route includes one-stop manufacturing services, precision machining, EDM, and heat treatment, ask who transfers the heat or lot identity and who returns the process record at each step. Define controls for mixed lots, split batches, remnant marking, lost labels, rework, replacement stock, scrap, and certificate discrepancies. Specify any EDM surface-integrity evidence and any heat-treatment furnace, hardness, or condition record from the governing drawing. At shipment, reconcile part quantity and identifiers to the material, process, inspection, and conformity documents. Require retention period, retrieval time, change notification, and repeat-order review in writing before treating Neway's certification and traceability support as confirmed.
